You are listening to the Weight Loss for Successful Women podcast with Shannan Christiansen, episode number 48.

Welcome to Weight Loss for Successful Women, a podcast for women who are ready to break the diet cycle and end their struggle with weight for good. Here’s your host, Fortune 100 executive and Certified Life Coach, Shannan Christiansen.

Hello loves. I am so happy to be back with you today. I cannot believe we are only two episodes away from 50. I am going to do something super special for episode number 50, so stay tuned for the special announcement.

So today love, we are going to talk about coaching. And what is this thing called weight loss coaching? But as always, before we get into the show, I want to give a listener shout-out to Diana Ford. She left a review of the show. “Thank you for allowing others to tackle a different view on weight loss and ways to keep it off. Your way is realistic and can be more self-absorbed. I learned a lot from you.”

Thank you so much, Diana. It means a lot to me that you are listening and that you love it. So thank you to all the ladies who have taken time to leave a review. I really appreciate it. If you are loving the show, please leave a review of the show. I would so appreciate it.

Okay, so seriously, I am not going to talk about the weather. No, I’m not going to talk about it. I mean, maybe I’m going to talk about it just a little bit. I mean, it has been the hottest summer on record, and we have had more days over 115 degrees. Yes, I just said 115 degrees than ever.

My husband and I went walking last night and it was 105 degrees at seven o clock. I mean, it was a little after seven. Plus, there’s a little bit of humidity in the air so it’s a little brutal. I’m hoping soon we see some days in the lower 100s.

So really, enough about the weather. I just got off a three-day live virtual event for my business. I love learning about entrepreneurship and how I can make it better for my ladies. I attended virtually of course this three-day event. And it went every day from like, eight to maybe five, but some days it was to seven.

And it was packed full of ideas and inspiration for my private membership program. So I have felt exhausted since it ended because my mind has been so busy with so many ideas about how to make it better, how my ladies can have quicker success and how I can make things more simple for them.

And I want to have a lot of fun with them. Weight loss has felt so heavy for many of us. We have had so much shame, so much guilt around it. We’ve told ourselves that weight loss is hard, and I want to make it fun. I know this is going to sound a little crazy, but I think weight loss is easy and I think it can be super fun.

And that’s what I’m teaching all of my Transform – and I like to call them bosses now because I really think they are. It’s what they’re learning. So I actually too a couple days off from work this upcoming week because I wanted to work on all the stuff I learned.

I mean, my brain, I woke up at two in the morning this morning thinking about all of the stuff that I want to put in my private membership. I mean, that is how much good stuff was in this three-day event. And I can’t wait to roll it out to my Transform ladies.

So if you are in the Transform membership and you’re a Transform boss, we are going to roll out some really cool fun stuff over the next couple of months. This virtual event and one of the reasons too I wanted to go to it is because in October, we are putting on our very first live virtual event.

Last year, we went to Dallas actually and we had so much fun. But you know, this year is different. And so we are doing a virtual event for all of the ladies who are in the Transform weight loss program. And I cannot wait. I cannot wait. I have so many ideas and I just want to make it so amazing and beautiful for all of my ladies.

And we are starting to plan it out now. We are going to do it from my home. My team was over on Sunday, a.k.a my son and daughter-in-law. And we were already mapping it out. I’m going to make this so special for all of my Transform bosses because they are the most special group of ladies.

So coaching, I know many of you who are listening have never been coached. You might not even ever have had a life coach. I know many people ask me what does a life coach do. So I want to explain what coaching is and how it has changed my life.

So I’m going to tell you a little story. So I personally have been coaching for, I don’t know, 25 or 26 years. I do this in my financial services career and I have fallen in love with coaching. And I think it is so powerful and I have learned and researched and studied life coaching for many, many, many years.

And so I had joined a group coaching program and it’s with my teacher, and she was having an event. And it was in-person – this was years ago when we went to in-person events. And I went to this in-person event in Dallas and it was a day with her.

And it was pretty early on. I think there were only about 40 ladies there and my teacher is really big, so 40 ladies and her is a pretty intimate event. And I remember going there and I flew to Dallas all by myself. I was super nervous, but I knew that I wanted to change my life.

And I was in the process of that time losing my weight and I had been following her program and also a couple others and learning and researching and doing so much work. And so I was so excited and so scared about going to this one-day event with her.

So I show up and I go in the room and of course, I’m by myself. I don’t know anyone there. And the day progresses and she’s just coaching all day. I mean, she is a rockstar. She’s just one person after another, and I got the courage to raise my hand and have her coach me.

And I have to tell you, I was super nervous. I’m sure my neck was red, I’m sure my voice was a little shaky. I wanted a breakthrough and I knew that she could ask my questions and she could look inside my brain and help me to uncover the things that were keeping me stuck.

And I have to tell you, that one day with my coach really changed my life. I was vulnerable, it was scary, but I had more breakthroughs in that day and I continue to have them as I continue to have my own coach, and I’m still in group coaching programs.

And I remember flying home on the plane and just writing and writing and writing all of the breakthroughs. It was almost like I had all of this stuff that I had pushed down with food for so many years and having a coach ask me questions because that’s mostly what coaches do. They just ask you questions.

And really, they just show you your own brain. And what happened was I felt like all of this stuff that I had been pushing down just started coming up. And I got to see the thoughts and beliefs that were keeping me stuck.

So weight loss coaching is when I, as your coach, ask you questions and I just show you your brain, your thoughts. We have so many beliefs and thoughts that are there from years of dieting, years of beating ourselves up, and I help women see them. And then, this is the important part ladies, decide on purpose what they want to believe so they can lose weight.

Coaching is about someone asking questions so the coachee can have breakthroughs, so they can uncover their own roadblocks. Coaching is the most powerful tool on the planet to change your life. I really believe this. It is the most – I’m going to say it again – powerful tool on the planet to change your life and to lose weight.

It has changed my life, my career, my relationships, and my weight. It has helped me to have better relationships with friends and family, a better marriage, and a better relationship with myself and my body.

I watch this with my Transform ladies all the time. We’re in a coaching session and then something happens. And then they stop, and they say something like, “I never thought of that,” or, “I did not even know I thought that.”

They have these moments of clarity, these moments where the emotion and all the feelings come up. It is so powerful to watch. And then, my love, they decide what they want to feel, what they want to think. I then get to watch them transform, change. I see it in how they show up, how they start to lose weight, I start to see the transformation.

It is the most powerful and amazing thing to watch. We do group coaching in Transform. That is where one of my ladies are being coached by me while the other ladies are watching. The ladies that are observing are also having breakthroughs.

Watching someone be coached can help you start to change your thoughts. You can start to see how you are similar or have similar challenges, and then that is when you can start to change. It’s when you start to have breakthrough.

Coaching is the best thing it can offer. It changes your life. It changes everything. I just want to ask one transformational question today. What would you be willing to do to lose weight for good? So good, my love. So much love to you ladies. Join me next week where I’m going to help you get started in your weight loss transformation. Bye for now, love.

Ep #47: The Downfall of Comparison

The Downfall of Comparison

Comparison is something I think we, as women, can really relate to on a deep level. We’ve been doing it for a long time; comparing our bodies, our lives, our jobs, our partners… I mean, the list is endless. I’ve been doing some research on this topic and I was astounded to see the stats, so today, I want to help you figure this out.

Ultimately, comparing yourself to someone else makes you feel like you’re not good enough or that you’re not doing it right. Doubt and fear start to creep in, and loves, this needs to stop if you want to lose weight for good. I had to notice every time I was doing it on my own weight loss journey, and I’m inviting you to do the same today.

Listen in this week to discover how comparison is sabotaging your success. Every time it happens, your joy and happiness are being taken away by the thoughts that you should be farther along, but practicing the questions I’m laying out for you today will help you become a boss of your own weight loss journey.

And here are this week’s transformational questions:

  1. What areas of your life do you compare yourself to others the most?
  2. How does comparison sabotage your weight loss?
  3. What statement do you want to say to yourself when you notice you are comparing yourself to someone else?

If you love this work and want to go deeper, take my free course, where I share my experience and the 3 tools that I used to get off the diet roller coaster. All you have to do is click here to learn more!

What You’ll Discover:

  • What comparison leads you do to.

  • Why comparison will keep you from losing weight.

You are listening to the Weight Loss for Successful Women podcast with Shannan Christiansen, episode number 47.

Welcome to Weight Loss for Successful Women, a podcast for women who are ready to break the diet cycle and end their struggle with weight for good. Here’s your host, Fortune 100 executive and Certified Life Coach, Shannan Christiansen.

Hello loves. So happy to be back with you today. I cannot believe we are only three episodes away from number 50. I’m going to do something special for episode number 50, so stay tuned for the special announcement.

Today, we’re going to talk about something that we do, and it keeps us ladies from losing weight. It’s so important that we stop doing this. But as always, before we get into the show, I want to give a listener shout-out to Frances. She wrote a review of the show.

She wrote, “Enjoyed the session. Felt like you were talking to me. Going to try and meet these feelings head on. Thank you so much.” Thank you so much, Frances. It means a lot to me that you love this and that you’re listening. Thank you to all the ladies who’ve taken the time to leave a review. I really appreciate it. If you’re loving this show, please leave a review of the show. I would so appreciate it.

How many of you ladies watch true crime? Seriously, I’ve steered away from it, but Paul and I have been secretly binge-watching episodes. I get so caught up in them, especially the ones where they didn’t really do it and they got it wrong.

Oh my goodness loves, I was up at 3am last Saturday night because I could not stop watching Outcry. It’s on HBO. It’s a series and it’s about this football player who is wrongly accused and convicted. I mean, I don’t want to give it all away.

But I mean, I was so involved. Seriously. I had to stop. I cannot get caught up like that. So we had a switch to some comedies. Jim Gaffigan has a new special out and so we started watching that. I mean, I do think he’s funny actually. He makes me laugh.

So loves, I cannot wait to get into what we’re going to talk about today. And it is comparison. I’ve been thinking about this a lot because we as women do this so much. I was researching this topic and one article said we do this at minimum 10% of our day. 10% of our thoughts a day we are comparing ourselves, our lives, our bodies to someone else.

It made me think when I was a new director in my previous company, I had this amazing peer and I stepped into her old role. I mean, she’s amazing. She’s one of the best humans I know. She works her tail off and I started comparing myself to her.

I started having doubts about my own value, my own skillset. I started believing I had to be like her. I started working early, staying late, doing things like she did them. It was killing me and killing my confidence.

I am unique, I have a unique set of skills. I am my best when I lead from the heart and show up like me. Comparing myself to her just made me a worse leader. She’s one of my best friends and I love her to death. We’ve actually had conversations because she did the same thing. She was comparing herself to me.

So here we both were, incredible leaders, comparing ourselves to each other. And thinking we needed to be different than we were. That is where comparison leads you. It makes you think you need to be different, that you should be farther along, that you should be doing something different.

Ultimately, it leads you to believe that you’re just not good enough. I work on this with my Transform weight loss program ladies. They see what others are doing. They see how much weight others have lost. And then they start comparing.

They start doubting where they are, what they’re doing, and then they start sabotaging themselves. This is what happens when we compare our journeys and our lives to others. We start sabotaging our own success and doubting that we’re good enough.

When I was losing weight, I had to stop the comparisons. I had to notice when I was comparing my body, my journey, my success to others. Think how often you are comparing yourself to others. You’re browsing social media, thinking most everyone is living a better life than you. Then you start comparing your body, your job, your house, your partner.

You compare your entire life to someone else. You know that old saying, we always believe the grass is greener on the other side. The crazy part of it all, we have no idea what others are going through. We are all human and have a human brain. We all have this 50:50 life.

We do not escape this life without pain, doubt, shame, fear, guilt, and worry. Every human on the planet experiences all the emotions, good and bad. A famous Teddy Roosevelt quote is, “Comparison is the thief of joy.” Think about that for a second, love.

Every time we compare ourselves to someone else, it is taking some of our joy, happiness, belief in ourselves. Every single thought. Comparison will keep you from losing weight because you will start to sabotage your own success. You will go back to diet mentality.

I see this so much in weight loss. My Transform ladies will be losing weight, but then someone posts a bigger number. So they will start to doubt if they’re doing it right. Then they will start to feel fear. Then when they feel fear, they start to overeat, they stop making their realistic plan every day, they start doubting their own success.

They think they “should” be farther along. But I teach them how to be transform bosses. Bosses of their own weight loss and their own mind. Then they get back on track and keep losing weight with the amazing support they get in the Transform weight loss program.

Thinking we should be farther along is one of the biggest lies and ways we self-sabotage ourselves. When we tell ourselves we should be farther along, then we start saying this is not working, I’m a failure, I can’t do this, my body is broken. We lie to ourselves so we can quit.

This is what comparison does. This simple thought of I should be like so-and-so, and then it just slowly starts to fall apart and leads to quitting. Quitting on ourselves again. Then we quit, we beat ourselves up, and my love, welcome to the diet rollercoaster.

If you want to stop comparing yourselves to others, start by first getting really honest about when and how often you’re doing it. Then when you notice the thoughts of comparison, decide on purpose that you do not want to believe that anymore.

And as I always say, talk to yourself more than you listen. Comparison is something we, as women, have been doing for a long time. So have some grace with yourself as you start to notice how often you’re doing it. Then when you notice, simply tell yourself, not today, my love.

Come up with a simple phrase that you can gently tell yourself that you’re not going into the downward spiral of why someone else is better or doing right. You’re not going to go into all the reasons that you’re doing it wrong. Just simply say not today, my love.

Starting to notice and then starting to redirect your thoughts is a great place to begin this work. And if you’re one of my Transform ladies, I challenge you to post about this in your accountability group. All the thoughts of comparison, and then help each other out.

Here are some transformational questions if you’re not in Transform so you can begin this work. Number one, what areas of your life do you compare yourself to others the most? Number two, how does comparison sabotage your weight loss? Number three, what statement do you want to say to yourself when you notice you are comparing yourself to someone else?

So good, my loves. I’ll see you next week where we are going to dive into what is this thing called weight loss coaching. I can’t wait to spend some time with you again next week. Bye for now, love.

Facebook Live 10: Stop Hiding

If you have been on the diet roller coaster for any amount of time, I bet you’ve done this: hide. You hide from your family and friends, and you don’t tell anyone you’re dieting because you’ve done it before and failed or quit. And let’s be honest, you’re too scared it’ll happen again, so you just want to keep it to yourself.

This is something I hear from my Transform ladies over and over again because we carry so much guilt, shame, and fear around our weight. We are so afraid of failing yet again, and this is the life I lived for so long myself. But one thing I’ve learned over the years and since finding life coaching is that there is no need to hide from the uncomfortable emotions that will inevitably arise, and you don’t have to either.

Tune in today as I show you the true reason you’re hiding your decision to lose weight, and why doing this is stunting your growth. The internal dialogue that swirls in your mind when you hide in shame prevents you from showing up for yourself. And loves, you are worth it, so stop hiding because that is when your transformation happens.

If you love this work and want to go deeper, take my free course, where I share my experience and the 3 tools that I used to get off the diet rollercoaster. All you have to do is click here to learn more!

What You’ll Discover:

  • Why we hide and don’t tell anyone that we’re trying to lose weight.
  • What keeps so many of us on the diet roller coaster.
  • One thing I’ve learned about the fear of failing.
  • The truth about hiding your decisions.
  • What happens when we hide in shame.

Ep #46: How We Make it Hard and How We Can Make it Simple

How We Make it Hard and How We Can Make it Simple

I remember starting a weight loss program and feeling super excited. I had all the materials, I had the exercise plan, I was all in. You are listening to the Weight Loss for Successful Women podcast with Shannan Christiansen, episode number 46.

Welcome to Weight Loss for Successful Women, a podcast for women who are ready to break the diet cycle and end their struggle with weight for good. Here’s your host, Fortune 100 executive and Certified Life Coach, Shannan Christiansen.

Hello loves. Welcome back to the show today. I’m always so excited to be back with you. We’re going to talk about how to make it simple and how we make it hard. But as always, before we get into the show, I want to give a listener shout-out to Jessica McCann.

She wrote, “So much of what you say hits home for me, Shannan.” Thank you, Jessica. It means a lot to me that you’re listening and I thank all the ladies who have taken the time to leave a review. I really appreciate it. If you’ve loving the show, please leave a review.

So it is hot here in Arizona. We have been over 110 every day for a bit. And we even hit 118. I’m not complaining because I love our weather most of the time, but boy, it is hot. I walked out the other day to throw some trash away in our garage and seriously, it felt like an oven. I mean, an oven.

So you know what I did? I just booked a trip to California at the beginning of September because I am sure I will be ready to get out of the heat by then. I kind of already am.

So ladies, have you ever been so excited to start a diet? I know I have been. I remember starting back at a big-name weight loss program. I got all my materials, I joined the online and the in person, I was going all in. I was super excited. I looked at all the before and afters that they had online and I committed. I was going to do it this time. I was super motivated.

I had gone back so many times and yes love, that is the definition of insanity because I always got the same bad results. I did lose some weight sometimes, but I would end up gaining it back and I did this over and over. But this time, I was motivated. I was going to do it. I was going to count my points, weigh my food, use all the calculators, get the most food for my points.

Oh yes, I had a full exercise plan too. I was going to exercise every day. I was going to do all the things. I was all in. It was a lot of things at once, but I had decided I was going to do it. I had my weeklong last supper. I know you ladies know what I’m talking about. The weeklong of binging of all the foods that I could not have once I started. Then I started.

I lost six pounds the first week. I was so happy, so elated. This was going to be it. This was going to be the time. It was consuming all my thoughts and it was a lot of work. So I did what I always did. I started to slip. I started going over my points, I had all of this mind drama and obsession about how to fit in more food with my points. And then the weight loss stalled. Then I gained. Then I quit.

It was so complicated. I thought it was hard. Being a Transform lady is the opposite. We make it easy. See, this is where we get it wrong. When my ladies come into Transform, we make it simple. We start with one to two things. We look for small success. Then I teach them how to change their mindset.

Now, my love, they all want to come in and do all the things and they want to be perfect. They want all the weight to come off in a month or two or three. But slowly, as they start to do small consistent action over and over again, they start to see success.

And when they start to see success, it starts building and building. And then with the community of ladies, they start to believe that it’s possible. They don’t have to change everything. I meet them right where they are. And the Transform ladies see immediate success, even the smallest pieces of success.

Ladies, we have to stop making this hard with the 52 things that we’re going to do and start tomorrow. We have to simplify our weight loss. We have to make it easy, simple. We have to stop thinking we’re going to lose all of it in a month or two. We have to stop focusing on the weight.
What did I say? Yes. We need to focus on the process and getting small wins, small successes, and making it easy, making it simple. So how do we make it simple? We focus on one thing at a time, like making our realistic plan.

Once my Transform ladies feel good about that, we then go to the next thing. Simple, easy. That is how you start to lose weight for good. Simple, small actions over and over again. So the transformational question are, number one, how are you making weight loss complicated and hard? Number two, how can you make it simple today?

So good my love. See you next week where we are going to dive into one of the worst things we do as women to ourselves. I can’t wait to spend some time with you love. Bye love.

Facebook Live 9: Break the Diet Rules

Ladies, I want to know all the different diet rules you’ve had for yourself. Whether it’s no carbs, no eating after a certain time, counting points, or sticking to an extremely low-calorie range, I can guarantee they are keeping you on the diet roller coaster, as they did for me. So today, let’s bust them together.

If you want to lose weight, you need to do it in a way that you can sustain forever. You can keep looking for quick fixes and the new fad diets, and you can white-knuckle it for a bit, but then you’ll inevitably get to a point where you just can’t do it anymore. You feel deprived and exhausted, and sometimes even envious of other people who can seemingly eat what they want when you can’t.

Listen in today as I show you why following the diet rules that someone else has created for how, why, or when we need to do or not do something is not an effective way to lose weight. I decided that there was a different way, and this week, I want to invite you ladies to make your own rules. The possibility of not having to feel frustrated and disappointed, or beating yourself up when you slip, it’s all available for you, and it all starts by busting diet rules that don’t serve you.

If you love this work and want to go deeper, take my free course, where I share my experience and the 3 tools that I used to get off the diet rollercoaster. All you have to do is click here to learn more!

What You’ll Discover:

  • How my Transform ladies and I have lost weight for good.
  • Why following all the diet rules kept me on the diet roller coaster.
  • The feelings that come up when we try to follow diet rules that someone else has created for us.
  • How to create your own diet rules.

Ep #45: Why Busy Keeps Us From Losing Weight

Why Busy Keeps Us From Losing Weight

With the recent launch of The Transform Society and having a new group of ladies join us, I have been busy. You ladies know Lizzy – our primitive lizard brain – and she was ramping up, giving me all the excuses for why I shouldn’t go for my walk or eat on plan. She gave me all the reasons to overeat and not care for myself, and this “busy” is keeping us on the diet roller coaster.

This excuse of being too busy keeps so many of my ladies stuck. Stuck with bodies that carry extra weight, eating food that isn’t fueling us, and more importantly, putting ourselves off. We tell ourselves that we’ll put our needs first when we get less busy, but does that actually happen?

Join me today as I show you why using the excuse of being busy is keeping you on the diet roller coaster and what is really happening when you find yourself coming up with excuses not to eat on plan or move your body. Not prioritizing your well-being only leads to an endless list of negative consequences, and so I’m showing you how to start showing up for yourself today.

And here are this week’s transformational questions:

  1. How is busy keeping you stuck on the diet roller coaster?
  2. How can you find some time for you in your day?
  3. Why is it important to put your oxygen mask on first?

If you love this work and want to go deeper, take my free course, where I share my experience and the 3 tools that I used to get off the diet roller coaster. All you have to do is click here to learn more!

What You’ll Discover:

  • One excuse that we all use that keep us on the diet roller coaster.
  • What was really going on when my brain offered up excuses not to eat on plan or exercise.
  • The negative consequences of telling yourself you’re too busy to take care of yourself.
  • How to start showing up for yourself.

You are listening to the Weight Loss for Successful Women podcast with Shannan Christiansen, episode number 45.

So excited to be back with you today. Did you ladies listen to last week’s episode? I, for the first time, had guests on the podcast ever. And three of my ladies came on the podcast. It was awesome.

I was thinking that I wanted to do more guests. I mean, I love talking to you ladies, but it was super fun having some ladies with me for sure. So today, we’re going to talk about one of the excuses that rattles around in all of our brains, and this excuse that we use, it really keeps us from losing weight.

But as always, before we get into the show, I want to give a listener shout-out to Marlene. She wrote, “I too am plagued with feeling that I have to be perfect. It sure can take the joy out of life. Never thought about that being an issue that could lead to struggles with weight. But you describe it to a T. Definitely something to think about and try to take care of. Thank you for sharing your journey with us and trying to help us with ours.”

Marlene, thank you so much. That was so beautiful and such a thoughtful review. It means a lot to me ladies that you love this and that you’re listening, and thank you to all the ladies who’ve taken the time to leave a review. I really appreciate it. And if you’re loving the show, please leave me a review in iTunes. I would so appreciate it.

So we just finished with the opening of The Transform Society. We had not been open since early March and I am just so excited to welcome in another group of ladies. Now we closed our doors this past Saturday, so we’re closed again, but loves, it was so amazing to bring all the ladies in.

And the launch, it was busy. I took off my day job and I still found myself working 10 to 14 hours a day. I wanted to make sure that everything was ready for my new ladies. I also did lots of free trainings and finished up a five-day challenge.

So my brain went into full “you are so busy.” That was in quotation marks. Busy is one of the excuses that keep us on the diet roller coaster. I did have a lot of things happening last week in my day. Every day had lots of activities, but I had time for me.

I got to decide what I was going to do each day. But ladies, you know Lizzy. She offered all kinds of excuses on why I should not go for my walk or eat on plan. What really was happening is I had a lot of emotions. I was feeling worried and excited and stressed. Ladies, all the feelings.

So Lizzy ramped up. This is how our brains works. Our primitive brain wants to keep us safe, comfortable. So in times of stress, the first response of our brain is to give us all the reasons, all the excuses to overeat, to not take care of ourselves.

Ladies, I know you feel me on this. We tell ourselves all the reasons why we can’t do something, why we’re so “busy.” Too busy to take care of ourselves, too busy to make our realistic plan, too busy to eat food that fuels us, too busy to move our bodies.

This excuse of busy keeps so many of my ladies stuck. Stuck with bodies that carry extra weight, eating food that makes us sick. And more importantly, putting ourselves off.

We keep telling ourselves that when it gets less busy, we’ll put ourselves first. When it gets less busy, we’ll do the thing. But then time just keeps ticking. We keep putting ourselves off until when?

Love, when do we show up for ourselves? When do we matter? When do we put ourselves back into the picture? We are so busy taking care of others that we keep forgetting to put our oxygen mask on. Have you ever ridden on an airplane and they tell you to put your oxygen mask on first?

And so we just keep forgetting to do it. And then loves, we just can’t breathe. We’re so physically and mentally exhausted that we feel like we’re talking through mud. We have to get honest about the excuse that we’re busy.

We get to decide on purpose what we do, what actions we take, how we show up for ourselves. And loves, we can do something different. We can decide that we’re going to spend 15 to 30 minutes a day on ourselves. We can talk to ourselves more than we listen to Lizzy. We can do simple, small, consistent action for ourselves.

This is how we put our oxygen mask back on. This is how we start showing up for ourselves. Just one small step at a time. So the transformational questions for you today. One, how is busy keeping you stuck on the diet roller coaster? Two, how can you find some time for you in your day? And three, why is it important to put your oxygen mask on first? So good my loves, see you next week.
