Ep. #47: The Downfall of Comparison

Dec 30, 2024

Comparison is something I think we, as women, can really relate to on a deep level. We’ve been doing it for a long time; comparing our bodies, our lives, our jobs, our partners… I mean, the list is endless. I’ve been doing some research on this topic and I was astounded to see the stats, so today, I want to help you figure this out.

Ultimately, comparing yourself to someone else makes you feel like you’re not good enough or that you’re not doing it right. Doubt and fear start to creep in, and loves, this needs to stop if you want to lose weight for good. I had to notice every time I was doing it on my own weight loss journey, and I’m inviting you to do the same today.

Listen in this week to discover how comparison is sabotaging your success. Every time it happens, your joy and happiness are being taken away by the thoughts that you should be farther along, but practicing the questions I’m laying out for you today will help you become a...

Ep. #46: How We Make it Hard and How We Can Make it Simple

Dec 30, 2024

I remember starting a weight loss program and feeling super excited. I had all the materials, I had the exercise plan, I was all in. I lost weight sometimes, but I would gain it back again, and I did this over and over. This is what I did for decades. I started to slip, I had all the mind drama, and then the weight loss stalled and I quit.

I always thought weight loss was so complicated and hard. I’m sure you ladies can relate to this too. We have a million things on our list that we think we have to do to find success, when really, the key to lasting, sustainable weight loss is in simplifying it.

Join me this week as I show you how we make weight loss harder and more complicated than it needs to be. We have to make it easy and simple, and I’m sharing how you can start to do this for yourself today.

And here are this week’s transformational questions:

  1. How are you making weight loss complicated and hard?
  2. How can you make it simple today?

Ep. #45: Why Busy Keeps Us From Losing Weight

Dec 30, 2024

With the recent launch of The Transform Society and having a new group of ladies join us, I have been busy. You ladies know Lizzy – our primitive lizard brain – and she was ramping up, giving me all the excuses for why I shouldn’t go for my walk or eat on plan. She gave me all the reasons to overeat and not care for myself, and this “busy” is keeping us on the diet roller coaster.

This excuse of being too busy keeps so many of my ladies stuck. Stuck with bodies that carry extra weight, eating food that isn’t fueling us, and more importantly, putting ourselves off. We tell ourselves that we’ll put our needs first when we get less busy, but does that actually happen?

Join me today as I show you why using the excuse of being busy is keeping you on the diet roller coaster and what is really happening when you find yourself coming up with excuses not to eat on plan or move your body. Not prioritizing your well-being only leads to an...

Ep. #44: Life-Changing Transformations with Dawn, Sharon, and Tammie

Dec 30, 2024

Ladies, I have a very special gift for you all today. For the first time ever on the podcast, I’ve got three beautiful guests on who are actually mentors for BFLY. I’m so excited to introduce you to Dawn, Sharon, and Tammie today, and they’re going to be giving us some insight into their weight loss journeys and tell you what has helped them the most.

These ladies have been exactly where you might be right now, and I know you’re going to find their stories completely relatable. They were on the diet roller coaster for decades, tried every fad diet out there, feeling completely low and hopeless. They joined The Transform Society and started using the tools I teach in there, and I’ve seen their transformation right before my eyes, not just in weight loss, but in the way they carry themselves too.

Join us today as I ask Dawn, Sharon, and Tammie about their weight loss transformation, their favorite tools that have provided them the biggest change, and...

Ep. #43: Questions I Get from My Ladies

Dec 30, 2024

We have a first on the podcast today. I get so many questions from listeners and the ladies in my programs, so today we’re going to do a Q&A so you can get the answers to some of the most commonly asked questions about the work I share.

Ep. #42: Old Diet Rules That Are Slowing Your Weight Loss

Dec 30, 2024

What if all of our diet beliefs and rules were wrong? And what if we could create our own rules based on testing our own bodies? These are the questions I teach my ladies to consider; to challenge every rule and belief that has been taught to us by the diet industry.

Whether it’s not eating at night or eliminating carbs, ladies, you may be surprised to hear that these are just myths when it comes to weight loss. We’ve created a belief that carbs are bad, or that we have to eat breakfast to curb hunger later in the day, and then create rules for ourselves around this that don’t serve us. I rarely eat breakfast and I eat carbs, and so do my ladies in The Transform Society, and we’ve all lost weight.

Join me today as I encourage you to become the scientist of your own body. I urge you to stop taking on rules that the diet industry or society at large has told you are crucial for weight loss, and start asking questions to dig into what you want to believe...

Ep. #41: What If You Were Curious?

Dec 30, 2024

Let me lay out a scenario I see so often with my ladies. You see a number on the scale and you didn’t lose any weight, or maybe you’ve even gained some weight. The beatdown starts, you’re telling yourself you’re a failure, that you’re always going to be overweight, and you stay on the path of overeating.

But what if you could change this cycle? Judgment is never helpful, and it often only makes you want to buffer with food to push down the uncomfortable feelings you’re adding on top of the frustration and disappointment of seeing the number on the scale. Ladies, there is a powerful tool that you can use here to replace judgment with, and it’s curiosity.

Join me today as I show you the power of intentionally getting curious and asking questions that will help you long-term, instead of the judgment and internal beatdowns you might be serving yourself right now. You’ll find that once you shift your mindset, you’ll be able to get...

Ep. #40: Emotional vs Physical Hunger

Dec 30, 2024

We are about 15 weeks in since the eruption of the coronavirus and I know that so many of my ladies in The Transform Society are feeling all the feels, and they’re using food to push down and push away their emotions. Emotional hunger is something you’re probably familiar with if you’ve been on the diet roller coaster, and today, I’ll be explaining how to identify it and what you can do to overcome it.

For most of us, we buffer when we don’t want to feel negative emotions. We use food and alcohol and a whole array of substances to feel temporarily better. Emotional eating happens without intention, and it’s only prolonging whatever negative emotion you might be feeling in that moment, with an extra layer of guilt and shame afterward, and love, you just don’t need that.

Tune in this week as I show you how to identify the difference between emotional hunger and physical hunger, and I’ll be sharing a couple of tricks that I teach in The...

Ep. #39: Self-Care

Dec 30, 2024

This year has felt extremely heavy for many of us, and I know my ladies have been struggling. I’ve had all the emotions, from frustration and confusion to guilt, shame, and anger. While we might wish to start this year over, every painful event gives us an opportunity to look inward, and this is where self-care comes in.

Self-care has become somewhat of a buzzword, and you might immediately think of a massage, a bath, or a manicure and pedicure. But loves, self-care is so much more than external things that bring you just a moment of happiness. It comes from the inside and it’s a practice we have to implement into our daily lives.

Tune in this week to discover what a self-care practice really entails and why it’s so crucial to make one for yourself. We cannot take care of others or create change in the world if we are exhausted and depleted. Not taking care of your mental and physical health leads to overeating and buffering with food, and this stops you from...

Ep. #38: Overeating at Night

Dec 30, 2024

I remember when overeating at night was just routine for me and it was one of the hardest things to stop. After a long day at work, I would immediately start planning what I was going to eat when I got home. I was tired, my defenses were down, and I was just looking to food to give me pleasure and joy at the end of the day.

Overeating at night becomes a habit for many of us, and it happens almost unconsciously. Before you know it, you’ve eaten the ice cream, the chips, and the pizza. Or you’ve done it because you’ve told yourself you’ve been good all day and deserve a treat. But loves, food is a false pleasure. It’s time to come up with a different strategy, and I’m sharing a few with you today that I teach my clients.

Join me this week as I share the top five reasons I believe we overeat and some key strategies that you can try to break the cycle. Creating new habits at night is key, and you just have to start by recognizing that...
